BR-40AS is a dreadnought guitar from the Contemporary series of Blueridge catalog. This series is dedicated to both acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars with slightly less vintage image than the rest of the Blueridge series. Majority of the models, including this one have price tags set below $1,000. BR-40AS comes with a non-cutaway body made of mahogany back and sides with spruce sound board on top. This combo is one of the best matches in the acoustic guitar industry and Blueridge likes to combine it with one-piece mahogany necks. V-shaped neck is set at 14th fret and it`s topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Dot inlays and 1.75" wide bone nut complete the fingerboard. Grover tuners installed on the headstock are plated in gold.
