Protege is Cordoba`s line of beginner and student class classical guitars. The majority of models featured in the series lineup offer full-sized, 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4-scale options. C-1, in particular, is available only in full and 3/4-scale variants. C1 starts off with a non-cutaway classical body (full-sized, black ABS binding, classical rosette, fan bracing), glued-in neck (traditional 12th fret dovetail joint), classical hardware, and no electronics. Natural is the only available color option (polyurethane finish, chrome hardware). Main tonewood options include mahogany back/sides, spruce soundboard, mahogany neck (classical profile), and composite fingerboard (19 frets, flat radius, 2.04" composite nut, 25.6" scale). Hardware section consists of a fixed composite bridge (classical shape and construction) and classical tuning pegs (3+3 arrangement on a classical headstock).
