Green Line series offers a quintet of environmentally-friendly classical guitars. All of the models currently made under the GL badge feature locally sourced tonewoods and eco-friendly finishes. That means GL relies heavily on walnut, maple, and spruce harvested from German forests. Besides the core models, Green Line also shares some models with Master and Limited Editions series. Green Line HGL9 is the king of the GL hill and its most expensive model. It comes with a non-cutaway body w/electronics-free construction, traditional 12th fret dovetail joint, vintage hardware, and vintage styling. Hofner makes and sells HGL9 only in natural color (w/gloss finish, gold-plated hardware). Main construction features include cherry back & sides, spruce top, alder neck w/classical profile, 19-fret fingerboard made of bog oak, bog oak bridge, and classical tuners.
