Limited Editions series deals with classical guitars made with exotic tonewoods. Some of the currently used tonewoods include Indian apple, French apple, tigerwood, and many, many more. Hofner`s policy is that once the stock of a particular tonewood is exhausted, models made of it get canceled. The current lineup has only four models, all four hand-made in Germany and fully acoustic (no electronics). HLE-KAF Ltd Edition comes in with a non-cutaway classical body, 12th fret dovetail neck joint, high-quality hardware, 25-3/5" scale, standard Hofner bracing pattern, and vintage styling. Main tonewood and hardware appointments include spalted maple back & sides, solid A+-grade spruce top, solid alder neck, 19-fret "bog oak" fingerboard, "bog oak" bridge, and classical tuning pegs. Hofner offers HLE-KAF in natural color, only.
