SLG110S is part of Yamaha`s ultra modern Silent Guitar Series. This series is oriented towards the production of the acoustic guitar-shaped instruments with only a center block and contours of the body. SLG110S starts off with a maple body with a natural gloss finish and a single cutaway. The bridge is made of rosewood and features white pins. The amplification of this guitar is entrusted to a piezo pickup placed underneath the bridge and a piezo preamp with controls mounted on the upper side of the central body block. The neck is made of mahogany and features standard shape with set-in joint. Rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 22 medium frets and dot inlays. The scale is 25-5/8" in length and the string nut is made of synthetic bone. This model costs around $550.
