B40 is a solid-bodied bass from Carvin, and it comes with a double cutaway body made of alder. Basic variant of this bass features a flat top with no pickguards. Optionally, decorative top wood cover can be added. In the bridge section, Carvin installs one of their own bass bridges with string-through-body construction and chrome plating. In the pickups area, B40 is equipped with a pair of single oil pickups. These passive singles made by Carvin and installed in a J/J formation. They are controlled through a simple setup of split volume and master tone knobs. Neck is made of maple and it is bolted to the body.
