Demonator models made by Dean Guitars are solid, double-cut and made for metal. Demonators often come as four-stringers with neck-through-body construction and super powerful pickups, strong enough to cut through any mix. Orientation of this series is clearly towards metal and hard rock, leaving blues, jazz and other more subtle genres to other Dean series. Demontaor 4 is the basic model of the series and it features solid, flat mahogany wings attached to the maple neck. On top of the body, there is a standard one-piece bridge with four adjustable saddles. In the front, Dean installs a pair of mighty humbuckers with series standard controls unit. Maple neck is fit with a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. It comes with elegant white binding around the edges and abalone hourglass inlays.
