Edge series is a line of electric bass guitars with modern design and tone. This series primarily aims at younger players who want to find their playing identity. Affordable and made of quality materials, these basses are force to be reckoned with. For 2013 Edge series has received three updates. All three have minimalistic design and super strong EMG35 pickups. Edge 5 EMG is the intermediate model of the newly established line, as it has more strings than Edge 4 EMG and less than Edge 6 EMG. Body of this model comes with a solid, double-cut design and it`s made of alder. There are no unnecessary decorations on this model. Color scheme is black with gloss finish and black hardware. Stealthy appearance is countered with very pronounced tonal presence. Superior tone is guaranteed by a pair of active EMG pickups installed on top of the body. Bridge section is equipped with a hardtail bridge with top-load construction. Neck is made of maple and it sports the standard C contour in the back. It`s bolted to the body and topped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Grover tuners on the headstock feature very modern design.
