Eric Bass of Jacksonville hard rockers Shinedown is one of the Dean Guitars signature artists and also one of the leading and most influential young bass players around. His four-string prowess has proven to be one of the key ingredients in Shinedown`s later recordings and shows. His signature series is currently equipped with only one model, the modern Hillsboro. Hillsboro is solid, double-cut and made of ash in it`s entirety. It is paired with a bolted maple neck. On top of the black-clad body, Dean installs a black pickguard and a black bridge with four adjustable saddles. Pickups compartment is fit with one passive humbucker with a basic controls unit. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it`s topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
