American Vintage Series is one of the top series of electric guitars and basses made by Fender. It deals with luxurious four and six-stringers made after some of the most legendary guitars and basses in brand`s history. For 2013 Fender updates the bass side of the American Vintage line with four brand new models. One of them is American Vintage '58 Precision Bass and it features a solid double-cut body made of lightweight alder. Traditionally, Fender does not install top wood covers on their models, nor it fits them with binding around the top edges. Top of this vintage-styled four-stringer is covered only with a vintage-styled pickguard. 3-Color Sunburst, Olympic White and Black color options are available with gloss finish and maple fingerboards. Bridge is a vintage Fender bridge with threaded steel barrel saddles. There`s only one pickup installed on this Precision Bass, it is a split single coil with metal cover over it. Master volume and master tone knobs control it. Neck is made of a single piece of maple, it`s bolted to the body and topped with a 20-fret maple fingerboard. 34" scale, black dot inlays and chrome-plated vintage tuners complete the specs list.
