Fender Modern Player series is a line of affordable electric guitars and basses. It is one of the more recent additions to the standard and regular series lineup. And the philosophy behind this series was to create an affordable line of quality instruments with modern tone and looks to attract younger players. Modern Player models especially aim at young players who never owned a Fender guitar, or a bass before. With price tags well under $1,000 and quality level of $1,000 guitars, Modern Player series is one of the most serious contenders in it`s price class. For the summer of 2013, Fender has introduced six novelties into the series and Dimension Bass happens to be on of two four-stringers. It comes with a solid and double-cut body with a slightly offset waist. On the top, there`s the standard Hi-Mass bridge with four adjustable saddles. There`s only one pickup and it is installed in the bridge position. It is a Triplebucker pickup made by Fender. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it features a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on it`s top. 34" scale, Vintage tuning machines, 9.50" fingerboard radius and 1.50" wide synthetic bone nut complete the specs list.
