Starcaster series is coming back in a big style. Four new models are being introduced for the autumn of 2013 and Starcaster Bass is one of them. Other three are Starcaster Guitar, Coronado Bass and Coronado Guitar. All of these models were active back in 1960s and 1970s and are making a come back now in 2013. Starcaster Bass differs from the standard bass lineup in that it is a semi-hollow instrument with the short 30" scale. The body of this model is made of laminated maple in it`s entirety. The only exception is the solid center block made of alder. On top of the body, there are two bound "f" holes and a high-mass bridge. Bridge has four standard saddles and features chrome plating. In the front, there are two active humbuckers packed in the full-sized casings. Two volume knobs, two tone knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch comprise the controls unit. Neck on this model is made of maple and it features the standard C contour in the back, while the top is fit with a 22-fret maple fingerboard. 1.62" synthetic bone nut, 9.50" radius and black dot inlays complete the fingerboard.
