Bass Models Electric Bass Guitars by Hagstrom
While the twelve-string guitars (6+6) are a completely common and regular thing, basses with double-course strings are still quite a rarity despite the idea being really old. It all began back in 1967, when Hagstrom introduced the world`s first eight-stringed bass guitar. Today, Hagstrom remains the only major brand with such an instrument in the standard section of the bass catalog. Its name is HB-8 and this is the left-handed variant. Solid and double-cut mahogany body (with big black pickguard on top), bolted mahogany neck (four-bolt joint), 21-fret fingerboard made of resinator (Hagstrom`s trademarked fingerboard material), Custom 58`B humbucking pickups (vintage tone, coil-splitting), two-piece bridge unit (TOM/stoptail bar arrangement), H-Expander truss rod and Hagstrom die-cast tuners are among its major features.
