Contemporary Series Violin Bass is a model deeply rooted into the Violin Bass tradition, but also a model made for the 21st century. It comes with a hollow body, 30" scale and a set in neck. 30" scale and hollow-body construction are traditional appointments which have made this bass stand out among the hundreds and thousands of solid 34" basses out there. Maple and spruce are also traditional tonewoods Hofner has used since the beginning of the production of the Violin Bass series. This Contemporary model comes with two color options: Black and Sunburst. Both of them are finished in gloss and have chrome-plated hardware. Two-piece bridge is installed on the top, as well as a pair of active minibucker pickups. Maple neck is topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
