BTB686SC is a huge six-stringed bass, a true colossus. It is one of four models included into the initial lineup of the newly established Ibanez Bass Workshop series. It has the longest scale and the most massive body out of four models. Also, it has the widest nut (2.12"), so the players who are considering this BTB for their next purchase better have big hands and long fingers. Body of this amazing six-stringer is made of ash wings and a five-piece maple/bubinga neck in the middle. Rosewood cap on the top is also featured. Natural Flat is the only color scheme available for this model. It`s finished in satin and has black hardware. On the top, a six-saddled monorail bridge is installed. Six independent saddles are plated in black. In the front, Ibanez installs a pair of single-coiled Bartolini BH1 pickups. They come with master volume, three-band equalizer, frequency selector mini-switch and a balance knob. Maple and bubinga neck is made with the classic BTB contour in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.
