GSR is one of many electric bass series within the GIO range. GIO series and models aim primarily at the beginners and inexperienced players with their affordable and sturdy instruments. The emphasis is on the simplicity, durability and the best quality/price ratio possible. This philosophy has propelled the GIO basses to the very top of the Beginner and lower intermediate sections of the market. GSR series within it`s ranks is being heavily updated for 2014. One of six updates is the mighty GSR206B. It is a solid and double-cut bass guitar with a flat mahogany body and bolted maple neck. As all GSR200B models, this one is available only in Walnut Flat with satin finish and black hardware. Electronics section is the standard one, as Ibanez installs DXH passive humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions. Controls unit installed with them includes two volume knobs and two tone knobs (one of them is PHAT II EQ knob). Simple B16 hardtail bridge with six adjustable saddles is also installed on this model. Maple neck is topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
