Ibanez is one of the most important manufacturers from Japan and their catalog is among the widest and most versatile ones around the market. Their SR series is an icon in the four and five-string world and has recently expanded into the six-string bass segment. Series most representative six-stringer is the SR5006E model introduced a while ago. It comes with a solid and double-cut body made of mahogany back with wenge top. Top is carved and finished in satin. There are no old-school decorations on the top, for the 5006E is made for the 21st century. Two single-coil pickups are installed in front of the six-saddled mono-rail bridge with six saddles. Five-piece bubinga and wenge neck is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
