Though the five-string basses have established themselves as standard parts of the catalogs worldwide, six string basses are having a bit harder time. However, the Sound Gear series (or shortly SR) is one of the strongest proponents of the six-stringed basses. It`s SR506 model is a true intermediate model. It comes with a solid and double-cut body made of mahogany. It features deep cutaway and modern bolt-on neck joint. Six-saddled bridge is fronted with a pair of series-standard soapbar pickups. Neck on this model is made of five pieces of jatoba and bubinga. 24-fret fingerboard on it`s top is made of rosewood.
