SR series is probably the most popular line of solid-bodied electric basses in the world, it is four-string match of the RG series in terms of recognition and popularity. Just as RG series, SR has diversified into several series over the years. Today, SR Prestige, SR Premium and SR comprise the SR range. For 2014, Ibanez has introduced many new SR four, five and six-stringers and SR1806E is one of them. It is a six-string bass with the classic SR design. Ash is used for the base of the body, walnut is in the middle and rosewood and flamed maple are combined on the top. Natural Flat with satin finish and golden hardware is the only color scheme available for this model. Pair of passive Nordstrand soapbar pickups is installed on the top. Master volume, balance knob, three-band equalizer, equalizer on/off switch and frequency switch comprise the controls. Wenge and bubinga neck is fit with SR contour in the back and is topped with a standard 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
