SR is the most popular and prominent line of electric basses in Ibanez catalog. It has been introduced many years ago and over the years the core concept hasn`t changed very much. Solid and double-cut basses with sleek bodies and fast necks were featured in the series ever-changing lineup. Over the years, several sub-series and tiers were introduced, and today SR covers pretty much every important section of the market. For 2014, Ibanez has introduced many novelties into the SR range and SR1805E belongs to the SR Premium series. It is a solid and double-cut bass with standard design and construction. Four types of wood were used for the body of this exceptional five-stringer: ash in the back, walnut in the middle and combination of rosewood and flamed maple on the top. Monorail bridge with five gold-plated saddles is installed on the top. Two Nordstrand single-coils comprise the pickups combo. MAster volume, balance, three-band equalizer, equalizer on/off mini-switch and frequency selection mini-switch are featured in the controls unit. Wenge and bubinga are used for the five-piece neck. In the back, it rocks the SR contour and on the top, there is the standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
