SR800 models reign supreme in the standard SR series and up until now four and five-string versions were available. For 2014, Ibanez is introducing the six-string version for all the players who need super wide range on their basses. SR806 is the official name of this beast. It comes with a standard 34" scale, 15"75" fingerboard radius and 2.12" wide string nut. Body of this model is made of mahogany back and poplar top. This beautiful combo gives a very balanced tone, as poplar sharpens up the body response. There is only one color scheme for now, it is Transparent Gray Burst with satin finish and gold-plated hardware. Accu-Cast B-300 (306) hardtail bridge is installed on the top. It`s plated in gold and fit with six adjustable saddles. Bartolini Mk-1 pickups are installed in the front. Master volume, balance, three-band equalizer and frequency switch comprise the controls. Five-piece jatoba/bubinga neck is bolted to the body and is topped with the series standard 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
