SR805 is the five-string model from the Ibanez SR series of electric bass guitars. It is the five-string variant of the SR800, which has been introduced at the NAMM show in January. 800 models are new flagships of the regular SR series, with some features stepping into the SR Premium range. SR805 is pretty much the same as the SR800, with the only major difference being the extra string on the SR805. Body of this model is solid, double-cut and made of mahogany back with poplar burl top. Top is carved and finished in gloss. Amber is the only color scheme Ibanez has assigned for this model. Bridge section on this model is made up of Accu-cast B-300 bridge, the five-saddle variant. It is plated in gold. Pickups are Bartolini Mk-1 in both the bridge and neck positions. Master volume, balance, miniswitch and a three-band equalizer comprise the electronics. Neck on this model is made of five pieces of jatoba and bubinga. On it`s top Ibanez installs a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
