SR is Ibanez`s premier electric bass range, the most popular as well as the most populous one. The main divisions include Standard, Premium, and Prestige. The Standard is, of course, the most affordable one, with Premium covering the upper intermediate class and Prestige offering the most expensive and most exclusive SR models. SR1820 is a Premium division model, currently the second-most expensive four-string option (topped only by SR2600). Main features include a modern multi-piece SR body (mahogany back, walnut/flame maple top), bolted Atlas neck made of five pieces of wood (panga panga/purpleheart), Nordstrand electronics, and combined Ibanez/Gotoh hardware. Natural Low Gloss is the name of the only available color option. Other features include a 24-fret panga panga fingerboard, Ibanez Monorail bridge, and Gotoh tuners.
