SR300 models have always been the most popular models in the standard SR series. They occupy the lower intermediate section and are on the verge of becoming true intermediate basses. Their primary purpose is to give the potential players reliability and great quality for the money invested. SR300 models feel their best when used for practice and rehearsals. They can manage gigs and concerts in smaller venues, but are at their best in studio and at home. These hugely popular basses are being refreshed and renewed almost every year. 2014 variants of the SR300 do not differ much from their 2013 counterparts. SR300M for 2014 comes with a solid and double-cut agathis body and a bolt-on maple/rosewood neck. Bridge section is fit with the standard Accu-cast B120 four-saddle bridge with Ibanez classic Cosmo Black plating. CAP EXF-N2 humbuckers are passive and are equipped with the standard controls unit (master volume, balance and a three-band equalizer). Maple/rosewood neck is made of five pieces of wood and is fit with the SR contour in the back. On it`s top, there is a 24-fret fingerboard made of maple (thus the M in the model`s name).
