SR, SR Premium and Ibanez Workshop have been expanded this year with the first semi-hollow SR basses. Eight models (four in Bass Workshop, two in SR Premium and two in SR Standard series) made their debut at NAMM. SR30th4 is one of two SR Standard anniversary models (marking 30 years of Sound Gear). It is a four-stringed semi-hollow bass, with mahogany body (quilted mahogany top, plain mahogany back) and combined jatoba/bubinga neck (five-piece neck with SR4 profile and bolt-on joint). 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (with medium-sized frets, oval abalone inlays, 1.5" TUSQ string nut, 12" radius and 34" scale) tops the neck. Bartolini`s MK-1 soapbar pickups, Accu-cast B300 bridge (with top-load construction) and die-cast tuners complete this anniversary SR.
