SR500 models are currently the most affordable SR Standard series` models with Bartolini pickups. Also they sport no-frills design and Ibanez`s world-wide famous build quality. Current 500 models (including this five-stringer) were introduced at this year`s NAMM.
SR505 is a full-sized (34" scale) five-string bass with carved, double-cut body, passive electronics and bolt-on neck construction. The body of this intermediate class axe is made of mahogany and it`s paired with a standard SR neck (5-piece jatoba/bubinga neck with SR5 profile). 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (with abalone inlays, medium-sized frets, 1.77" nut and 12" radius) tops the neck.
Important hardware and electronics features include the mentioned Bartolini pickups (MK-1 soapbars), Ibanez Accu-cast B305 bridge and die-cast tuning machines.
