Skyline series in Lakland catalog is equipped with a range of eight electric basses. They are divided into three categories, where Skyline Hollowbody models are aiming for a vintage Gibson-like styling, Decade is Fender-oriented and 44/55 look like classic Music Man double-cuts. Skyline 55-02 is a solid, double cut bass with a body made of ash in it`s entirety. Ash is the most popular body wood in Lakland`s catalog, as it offers tonal properties similar to alder and gets along with maple necks quite well. On the top of the Skyline 55-02`s body, Lakland installs a five-saddled hardtail bridge and a pair of versatile pickups (H/S combo). Bolt-on maple neck is topped with a 22-fret maple fingerboard.
