Maton`s Bass section of catalog is small, but powerful. Currently, it`s made up of only two models. One of those is JB4, a double cut, solid bodied four-stringer. It comes with a body made entirely of sassafras. There is no binding, no pickguard or top wood cover. Minimalist design tells that this model is fully dedicated to the tone. In support of that claim, Maton installs DiMarzio`s set of passive pickups. Bridge pickup is a single coil in "J" style, while the middle pickup comes as a "P" pickup. Bridge section on this model is made up of a hipshot bridge with four chrome plated saddles. The rest of the hardware is also plated in chrome, including Schaller tuners. Rock maple neck is covered with a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
