Funk Unlimited series, as it`s name says deals with a funkier side of the Modulus catalog. It features three models, two four-stringers and one five-stringer. FBJ 4 is one of two four-stringed instruments in the series lineup. It comes with a vintage design, which might be slightly misleading, as all Modulus basses feature cutting edge technology. And, of course, as all other Modulus models it features the split construction (wooden body and a composite neck). Body of this vintage-styled Funk Bass is flat-top, double-cut and made of alder. On the top, there is a classic four-saddled hardtail bridge and a pair of jazz pickups. D-contoured neck on this model is made of carbon fiber, while the 22-fret fingerboard on it`s top is made of carbon glass epoxy.
