The Heir series comes with a solid and simple construction, versatile tone, vintage-styled pickups and familiar MTD Kingston design. This series is created to give the players the widest possible range of tones and choice of style and genre. Four and five-stringed models are available and the Heir 5 represents the five-string side of the lineup. It comes with a solid and double-cut body made of ash and flame maple. Ash is used for the back and the flamed maple for the top. On that gorgeous top, MTD installs the standard four-saddled hardtail bridge and a pair of open-coil pickups (humbucker in the bridge and a single-coil in the middle position). Maple neck on this model is topped with a 24-fret fingerboard (maple and rosewood variants are available).
