C-5 Custom is a five string version C line`s basic model, C-4 Custom and shares a majority of features with it. C series is characterized by modern design, quality features and top notch craftsmanship. The aim of the series is to offer more options for bassists who like the tone of ash bodies. C-5 Custom starts off with a solid, double cutaway body made of ash. It features a carved top with no binding or pickguards. The only color option available for C-5 Custom model is trans black stain with satin finish. The bridge is available in two variants, either as a top-load or string-through. Both versions are plated in black chrome and made by Schecter. Pickup combo on C-5 Custom is the same as on other C models, EMG 40HZ active humbucker is placed in the bridge and EMG LJHZ active single coil is in the middle position. Controls are made up of master volume, master blend and EMG active 18v 3-band equalizer. The neck is made of maple and walnut with a six-bolt neck joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and equipped with 24 extra jumbo frets and offset dot inlays.
