This year Warwick celebrates 30 years in business. They are one of leading brands when it comes to high quality basses and amps. Also, Warwick is always at the technological forefront of the industry. When you are a successful instrument manufacturer, is there a better way to celebrate the anniversary, then with a limited edition model? Well, Warwick did just that, they unveiled the Streamer LTD 2012 30th Anniversary model at NAMM 2012 Show this January. This bass starts out as a solid bodied, double cutaway model with a body made of 25 year old cherry wood. There are no top woods, bindings or pickguards featured. This model is offered only in natural oil finish. In the bridge section, there is a Warwick two-piece bridge with top-load construction and black plating. In the pickups department EMG provides an active single coil pickup for the bridge and active P-styled pickup for the middle position. These are controlled through active MEC electronics with master volume, bass, treble and balance knobs. The neck is made of wenge with cherry stripes and neck-through-body construction. The fingerboard is made of wenge and sports 24 frets with abalone dot inlays. Other features on this anniversary model include: brass string nut, 34" scale and Warwick tuners.
