Stu Hamm, one of leading bassists of today has a very successful line of signature models in Wasburn catalog. These basses represent the cream of Washburn`s electric bass section and are serious competitors in the upscale bass league. Top of the line of Stu`s signature series is the SHB60, a solid bodied, double cutaway bass with a body made of alder. The top of this bass is flat and features no binding or pickguards. SHB60 comes in two color options, natural with satin finish and tobacco sunburst sparkle with gloss finish. The bridge on this model is a hipshot with separate piezo pickups for each string. The bridge is also painted in black. As for regular pickups, this four-stringer is equipped with one active single coil in the bridge and one humbucker in the neck position. Controls department for these pickups consists of master volume, master tone, balance and piezo volume knobs. The neck is made of maple and features a bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and has 24 frets with yin and yang bass clef inlays. Other features on SHB60 include black hardware and 1.65" wide string nut.
