There are several sub-series within the distinguished Sonus range of electric basses in Zon catalog. /1 and /2 models, standard models named only Sonus, Special, Custom, Classic, Studio and more. Each and every sub-series has it`s own role and mission. Models named simply Sonus are the standard models of the series and their role is to showcase the simple elegance and flawless quality of build and tone. Sonus 8 is a four-stringed bass with double-course strings. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of alder back with maple top. On the top, Zon installs a hardtail bridge with chrome plating and two single coil pickups with a customized set of switches and knobs. Maple neck on this model is topped with a 24-fret phenolic fingerboard.
