DC400 is the premier model of the DC Neck Through series of electric guitars made by Carvin. It comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of alder back and flamed maple top. Optionally, other top woods can be ordered. In the bridge section, Carvin primarily installs a hardtail bridge, though other options are also available. Pickups on this model come in H/H configuration. These Carvins are controlled through an elaborate controls unit which features master volume and tone for passive circuit, master volume and bass/treble boost/cut knobs for active circuit, two coil splitting mini-switches, phase mini-switch and a three-way toggle switch. Hard rock maple neck runs through the entire body, and it`s topped with an ebony fingerboard. 24 medium jumbo frets and block inlays complete the fingerboard.
