DC700 comes as a premier seven-stringer from Carvin Guitars. It kicks off with a solid, double cutaway body with neck-through-body construction, which is made of alder. Various top wood options are available for this model, with flamed and quilted maple just being two of them. Top is finished in gloss and features no bindings or pickguards. Bridge section sports a wide variety of options from tune-o-matic with string-through construction to various types of hardtail and tremolo bridges. Carvin installs a pair of their own humbuckers with master volume, master tone and three-position blade as pickup switch. Hard rock maple neck runs through the body and is primarily covered with an ebony fingerboard. 24 medium jumbo-sized frets, dot position inlays and 1.91" wide string nut complete the fingerboard.
