AT-17 is a natural upgrade of the AT-16 model. It offers one inch wider body, a cutaway and more frets on the fingerboard. AT-17 comes with a body made of flamed maple back and sides. For the top Collings offers two options, an Adirondack spruce top or European spruce top. Either way, the top is carved, bound in ivoroid binding, finished in gloss lacquer finish and equipped with a pair of "S" holes. The bridge is made of adjustable ebony bridge and an ebony tailpiece. There are no electronics featured on this archtop, as it is a fully acoustic guitar. Neck is made of flamed maple and it is attached to the body with a mortise and tenon joint. Ebony fingerboard offers 21 frets, parallelogram inlays and 1-11/16" string nut. 25-1/2" scale and gold plated Schaller tuners complete the specs.
