For almost 40 years Collings Guitars from Austin, Texas have been at the forefront of the industry with their outstanding quality. Back in 1973 Collings started out in a one car wooden garage, but today they operate at modern 22,000 square feet shop. For 2012 Frankfurt Musikmesse Collings brought one novelty, the Eastside LC. Eastside is placed within the Archtop division of the catalog. I kicks off with a single cutaway body styled after the vintage Jazz guitars. It`s body is fully hollow and it`s made of laminated maple back, top and sides. White ABS binding is applied around both the back and top. Carved top also features "f" holes and an elevated pickguard. The bridge is made of ebony and it is followed by a trapezoid tailpiece. In the pickup area, there is only one humbucker placed in the neck position. Controls for this pickup include master volume and tone. The neck is made of mahogany and it features a set-in joint. Rosewood fingerboard is equipped with a set of 22 frets, dot position inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut. Other features on Eastside LC include: 24-7/8" scale, chrome hardware and gloss finish
