Sidewinder is one of the several main concepts in Conklin Guitars catalog. It is the main pillar of the electric guitar side of the custom shop, as a vast majority of the custom shop models bear the Sidewinder name and design. 25-1/2" scale, solid and double-cut body with modern design, bolted neck and 24-fret fingerboard are some of the hallmarks of Sidewinder concept. Models, however, do differ by the tonewood selection and hardware appointments (especially in the bridge section). Body of the Sidewinder 6 Melted Top is solid, double-cut and made of mahogany. Top is made of redwood, spalted maple, purple heart and walnut. Gold-plated Floyd Rose bridge is fronted with a pair of active humbucking pickups. Five-piece neck is made of maple and rosewood and is topped with a 24-fret maple fingerboard.
