The `64 is one of the most recent developments in Danelectro catalog. It is a six-string guitar with vintage design and modern construction. Short 24-1/2" scale, peculiar pickups combo and fully adjustable bridge unit are some of the most recognizable features of the new `64. Six options are featured in the color palette.
The `64 kicks off with a solid and double-cut body and bolt-on neck made of an unspecified tonewoods. The neck is topped with a 22-fret (presumably) rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and aluminum zero fret. Electronics department boasts H/S arrangement of pickups, with a dual lipstick humbucker in the bridge position and slanted P-90 in the neck position. Two stacked volume and tone knobs, together with a classic 3-way toggle pickup switch, form the controls unit. Roller/Bigsby bridge combo and vintage tuners complete this short-scale rocker.
