Excel EXL-1A is a an acoustic-electric archtop, with traditional design & styling, as well as traditional archtop tone. It is available only in Natural Clear color, with gold-plated hardware and multi-layered binding. Alternative hardware colors and options are not available. Also, EXL-1A does not come in left-handed variant.
Excel EXL-1A is a truly traditional archtop, made for true fans of archtop acoustics. 17" wide and 3" deep body delivers a strong, robust tone, whether amplified or not. Laminated flamed maple on back and sides and laminated spruce soundboard add abundant brilliance and brightness to the tone. Mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard complete the chassis.
Notable features also include Stairstep tailpiece, Skyscraper truss rod cover, Stairstep pickguard, piezo electronics and Grover Super Rotomatic tuning machines.
