D`Angelico`s Excel series represents the middle class of the catalog (above Premier, below Deluxe), housing both the electric and acoustic branches. Like the two adjacent series/tiers, Excel also sports a range of electric signature models, with Fabrizio Sotti model being one of them. The Excel Fabrizio Sotti model comes in with a regular SS body (SS stands for semi-hollow, single-cut), glued-in neck, Seymour Duncan electronics, and black hardware. Natural Clear is the name of the only available color option (black binding, black hardware, zebra-coiled pickups). Main construction features include flame maple body (back, sides, top), 3-piece maple/walnut neck (C profile), and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Fabrizio Sotti model also features a black tune-o-matic bridge (w/stairstep tailpiece), Rotomatic tuners, and Seymour Duncan SH4/SH2 humbuckers.
