Bird Of Prey is the extreme result of the explorer and Flying V becoming one guitar. Previously, it has been done with ML and Razorback models by Dean, but since Mr Zelinsky left Dean Guitars, he chose to create Bird Of Prey with his new brand, DBZ Guitars. Bird Of Prey looks menacing and ferocious with it`s split tail and single cutaway. Mahogany is the material used for the body and it is heavily carved even on this basic model. Bridge section is equipped with a fantastic Floyd Rose original bridge. EMG supplies the pickups. 81 is in the bridge and 85 in the neck. Master volume, master tone and three-way toggle pickup switch control them. Mahogany neck is set and topped with a 24-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard.

My view of dbz is simple heavy look heavy sound it is a dream to play I have only seen and played one in 12 years they feel like there set up for drop c tuning as standard I found this odd but loved it the more I played for the money you can't get much more expensive
