Flamed maple is used in DBZ hierarchy to distinct the entry level models from the upscale ones. When a model receives the flamed maple top cap it is promoted to the upper spheres of the series, and such is the case with Bird Of Prey FM. Even though a part of the special Darkside segment, Bird Of Prey series falls under the general rules within the DBZ catalog. Bird Of Prey FM comes with mahogany body with flamed maple top. Top is carved and finished in high gloss. Floyd Rose double locking tremolo is paired with a locking nut. Pickups are EMG 81/85 and they are controlled through master volume, master tone and three-way toggle switch. Mahogany neck is set in and topped with a 24-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard. Tuners are Grover and scale measures25-1/2" in length.
