Colt series is a brand new series in the Dean Guitars catalog. It belongs to the electric guitar segment and it will be dealing with fully and semi-hollow bodied guitars. Currently, the lineup consists of only one model, Colt Hollow Body w/Piezo. Main features of this model are combined electronics unit, semi-hollow body and a standard 22-fret fingerboard. Body of this model is single-cut, arched on top and bound in several layers of binding. It is completely made of maple, which is by far the most popular material for semi and fully hollow electric guitars. It is available in Trans Reds and Classic Black. Both color schemes come with high gloss finish. Top panel is decorated with a pair of bound "f" holes and a black pickguard. Bridge section is a simple one, as it features a tune-o-matic bridge in the front with stoptail bar in the back. Both components are plated in chrome. Regular pickups are installed in H/H configuration and are made by DMT. Piezo pickup is thrown into the mix to add versatility. Neck is made of maple and has C contour in the back. Fingerboard on top is made of rosewood.
