Thoroughbred Maple Top is a part of the Thoroughbred series of single-cut guitars made by Dean. All models in this series are made with solid, chunky and single-cut bodies, resembling the legendary LP design. With this series Dean has found the golden line which binds LP heritage and the original spirit of Dean Guitars into one. Maple Top model is solid, single-cut with ultra access and carved on top. Body is made of mahogany and has a plain maple cap over it. Top is bound around the edges. High gloss finish and set in neck joint complete the body of this model. Neck is made of mahogany, as well and it is the most common material for electric guitar necks when body is made of mahogany. It features C contour in the back and a set in joint. On top of this neck Dean installs a standard rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and pearl block inlays. 1-11/16" nut completes the fingerboard specs. Bridge section is equipped with a high quality combo, which includes tune-o-matic bridge in the front and stoptail bar in the back. Pickups are USA DMT humbuckers. Grover tuners are installed on the headstock.
