Thoroughbred series in Dean catalog deals with single-cut electric guitars made in shape of the iconic Les Paul from Gibson. Enough similarity for them to be linked with the grand dad of all luxurious and elegant guitars and enough personality to stand on their own. Thoroughbreds offer that big, fat tone with supreme sustain. Everything from creamy melodies and leads to heart-pumping rhythms and scorching leads is within the reach of these models. 2013 NAMM has brought us five new thoroughbreds to continue the tradition. One of them is Thoroughbred Deluxe Satin. It is in every aspect the same as the Thoroughbred Deluxe, only it comes with satin, instead of gloss finish. Body is solid, single-cut and equipped with a set in neck joint with ultra access. Mahogany is in the back and flamed maple on top. Top is carved and bound in creme binding. Neck is made of mahogany and it features C contour in the back. On it`s top Dean installs a standard 22-fret fingerboard made of ebony. It has pearl block inlays and 1-11/16" nut. Pickups are USA DMT humbuckers and bridge section features the standard tune-o-matic/stoptail combo.
