Dean`s brand new Thoroughbred series of electric guitars offers two single-cut models with humbucking pickups. One is named Deluxe and the other is Maple Top Both come with Les Paul-like single cut bodies and carved tops. Price range of this line is quite reasonable, for the Thoroughbred Deluxe has the MSRP set at $972. Thoroughbred Deluxe is a solid-bodied single cut model made of mahogany base and flamed maple top. Top panel is equipped with elegant white binding. Pickguard is left out of the specs list due to the beauty of the flamed maple top with gloss-finished Scary Cherry color scheme. Bridge section on this one is made up of two components, a tune-o-matic bridge in the front and stoptail bar in the back. Both are plated in chrome, as is the rest of the hardware. USA DMT passive humbuckers are installed on this one. DMT Equalizer is in the bridge and DMT Nostalgia in the neck. They come with split volume and tone knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Mahogany-made neck is set and equipped with a "C" contour. On top of it Dean installs an ebony fingerboard with 22 frets. Block inlays and 1-11/16" string nut complete the fingerboard. Tuners installed on the headstock are Grovers.
