USA is the top tier in the standard part of the Dean Guitars catalog. It offers the best Dean models with top notch features and supreme build quality. For 2013 it has been updated with a set of three models. One is V, one Trans Am and one is Thoroughbred. This particular model is Thoroughbred and it comes with a solid and carved body made of mahogany back with flamed maple top. All Thoroughbreds from Dean Guitars look much like the iconic Les Paul, but offer the distinctive Dean vibe and tone. Body of this model is bound in creme and topped with a carved flame maple cap. Trans Cherry is the only color scheme available for this model and it comes with high gloss finish. Neck on this model is made of mahogany. It is set in and equipped with C contour in the back. On it`s top, there`s an ebony fingerboard with 22 frets with mother-of-pearl block inlays. String nut is 1-11/16" wide. Pickups on this model are Dean USA DMT humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions. Bridge section is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge in the front and a stoptail bar in the back.
