Ever since Gibson made the legendary EDS-1275 in 1958, double-neck guitars have been on a special pedestal among the guitar players. Hard and expensive to make, and with an extra neck, they were almost exclusively reserved for professionals. In recent years, double-necked guitars are making a breakthrough into the budget-friendly segment.
Gran Sport Double Neck is Dean`s answer to the two-neck trend. It comes with an extended Gran Sport body with glued-in necks. Both necks feature C profiles and are topped with 22-fret rosewood fingerboards. Jumbo frets, 24-3/4" scales and trap inlays comprise the fingerboards. Both bridge pickups are DMT Equalizer humbuckers and neck positions are filled by a pair of DMT Series Nostalgia pups. Standard Gran Sport controls with an additional pickup switch for the upper set of pickups complete the electronics unit. Two TOM/stoptail bridge and eighteen (twelve plus six) tuners complete this affordable double-neck.
